🥙To win you’ll need to make the GREATEST THALI with the most customer points. 

🥙Collecting dishes is in Fate’s hands but it’s up to you to combine those dishes well!

✨About the Game Design ✨

I designed this prototype for the CalArts Course 'Introduction to Game Design'

✏This game is a paper-based multiplayer game. As the narrative style of this game is 'Player led', the PCs are the players who are Chefs competing for the position of 'Head Chef' by creating the Best Thali platter. A subtle NPC is the 'Thief' persona, wherein if a player lands on this tile, they can choose to steal any dish from an opponent's platter. This adds different roles to a PC where they compete with one another while creating their Thalis.

✏To introduce more layers of challenge I added a 'Thief' mechanic.

✏With this mechanic, players can steal other dishes from opposing players (if they land on the thief icon) This was added to create a sense of competitiveness where player's friends become their rivals. And a battle for the title of 'Head Chef' begins.

✏I added a layer of balance by placing several bonuses and buffs elements ( thief, secret ingredient, reward sweets) to create a sense of challenge and engagement across the game board while maintaining the balance between player score sets.
